Rats, Mice, Moths, Rabbits and Cluster Flies

We are getting a lot of rodent work coming in now as the nights are getting colder, with jobs in Cheltenham, Tewkesbury and Gloucester. Cluster flies have started to be a problem earlier this year. We have done jobs to stop these in Westonbirt, Stroud, Cheltenham and Tewkesbury. We have more to do this week in Bredon and Sandhurst. with mice in Minchinhampton. We have completed 5 of our 16 mole jobs with yet another having come in so we still have 11 to finish. Moles have certainly become a big problem this year. They must have had a very successful breading season and it seems that there are fewer people trained to catch them. One problem we are finding is that it takes a lot of time to get around to all these places where we have traps between all the other jobs we have to do. We have had several carpet eating and clothes eating moths to deal with. These have been in Cheltenham, Cirencester and Shurdington. We have several rabbit control jobs going on and this takes it’s toll on our bodies with dawn and dusk shooting. One can only do this 2 or 3 times a week without getting too tired to work. The work can be quite physical. We have hole blocking to do around a roof with dormer windows. this will involve one of us with a body harness crawling about the roof tied to a rope which is tied to the tow bar of the truck. We must remember to put the handbrake on the truck.
