Rats, bed bugs, moles, wood boreing beetles, mice, pigeons, rabbits and wasps galore

We have had a very busy few weeks with all of the above work taking up our time. We have had 3 days using insecticide paste to deal with beetle larvae eating their way through roof timbers and timbers in some bedrooms. Luckily this was spotted before it got too bad. Rats are still a problem. They used to be a winter problem but over the past few years we get rat and mouse work over the whole year.

We have been having 3 to 6 wasp nest a day to deal with this summer with a few hornet nests to deal with too. by this time of year, the nests are very big. A few have been 3 feet wide and the same in height. They come in all shapes and sizes. The have to fit wherever the wasps decide to nest. One was in a loft, it was only 10 inches deep but 4 feet long and 3 feet wide.

We have 16 mole jobs on at present, they certainly do seem more of a problem this year. It has been a good breeding year for most things, including moles.

We are still having bed bug jobs coming in almost every week. Considering they were extremely rare  in 2004, they have increased rapidly over the years. We have had weeks when we have had 3 bed bug jobs to do.

We have several rabbit and pigeon control jobs on going  so are very busy with plenty of early morning or  late evening finishes

We are doing between 5 and 8 jobs a day at present and this looks likely to continue for the near future.
